Current mood:good
Current music:Jurrasic Park OST - John Williams

The younger brother and I spent the day perusing several purveyors of fine piscatorial merchandise, and lucked into three very favorable purchases. Of course these purchases will have to be deducted from the grocery budget this week, but who needs food anyway? On the subject of food... "Chef Alahondra has prepared a delightful repast, Chilean Sea Bass I believe..." Actually the younger brother has fried a mess of wild caught tilapia fillets (and one whiting) with sides of homemade hush puppies, deep fried potato medallions, and a new creation using left over yellow grits, shredded coconut and the left over breading from the fish. I've sneaked a taste of each as it's come out of the fryer and the smell pervading the house is truly amazing.

I just finished bathing two of my three dogs. One hundred pounds of canine that is as averse to water as any cat is not an easy thing to bathe and always ends with as much water on the bathroom floor as in the tub. The pups do smell much better afterward though so I guess it is worth it. The one that was so sick a couple weeks ago has made a full recovery for which I am very grateful. All that's left for the evening is eat and clean the kitchen and have a rum and coke before sleep time. Tomorrow begins another week...
